Tasting Australia Airlines is taking you to the heart of Australia’s seafood frontier.
Just 30 minutes’ drive from Port Lincoln is Coffin Bay where you’ll be welcomed at the Yacht Club.
From here small groups will be taken out on to the bay on an oyster punt by Pure Coffin Bay Oysters to experience the clean fresh air, pure clear waters and the succulent, unspoilt oysters direct from ocean. You’ve tasted them on menus around the country, now taste them straight from the source. Learn about the lifecycle of oysters in the farm, and how silky and clean oysters from this region are.
Wash down a few world-class oysters than with a drop or two of Australia’s best wines, curated by Nick Stock. Selecting wines from sparkling through to natural wine and everything in between, there’ll be a mix of classics, new age and even avant-garde wines, sourced largely from South Australia.
On the shore, the party is really starting. Here, Tasting Australia ambassador Duncan Welgemoed and his mate Morgan McGlone will be firing up a feast showcasing the Eyre Peninsula’s full complement of fare including seafood and fish plus Eyre Peninsula pork and more.
