Seafood and so much more...

Home » What to do in Port Lincoln » Food and Wine

Enjoy premium seafood, local produce, local wine & beer

The ‘Seafood Capital of Australia’ is a big call but Port Lincoln delivers in spades.

Pristine waters of the southern Eyre Peninsula and Spencer Gulf provide ideal conditions for plentiful catches of premium seafood, including southern bluefin tuna, yellowtail kingfish, King George whiting, snapper and other popular fin fish. Additionally, prawns, Boston Bay blue mussels, southern rock lobster, southern calamari (squid), green lip and black lip abalone are seasonal and of the highest quality.

All this, of course, means you can expect to dine on some of the freshest seafood at any of Port Lincoln’s many restaurants, pubs, cafés and takeaways.

More than just seafood

Complementing the daunting variety of seafood is local pork and bacon, Eyre Peninsula grain-fed beef and lamb, locally grown fruits and vegetables, and a range of products including olive oil, honey, chocolates, nuts and bakery products made from locally grown and milled grain.

Naturally, you’ll need something to wash down all that beautiful food and Port Lincoln surprises yet again with award-winning wines, craft beer and locally roasted coffee.
